Waiting Times Improvement Plan
B+A undertook a detailed review of elective care across NHS Lanarkshire to develop a 24-month improvement plan. We worked with a range of stakeholders across multiple specialties to establish the core capacity provided by clinical services. An analytical exercise was undertaken to quantify the gap in core capacity compared with the estimated future demand over a 24-month period. Our team then worked with each specialty to derive sustainable improvement plans for both outpatient, day case/inpatients and imaging.
We worked closely with NHS Lanarkshire finance teams to cost each improvement initiative and develop an overall costed plan. A tracker and action plan was established to monitor the ongoing delivery of the improvement initiatives.
